Alrighty, so what I did was take the facial features from the early WIP Apsu and applied the color values from the initial final Apsu. So the current update should be a composite of the best assets from both versions.

I also added the metallic shine to the tassels. Let me know what you think with these changes. Will be uploading Scion Class 5 sillos tonight!

BAM. Yeah dude that is perfect. The Current Update is the best of both worlds, right on the money. Awesome!

This is looking great!

Hey Dylan,

So there is nothing to worry about, we aren’t changing anything major with Apsu. Working with Nick we have determined that Apsu indeed does appear 20ish at the time where this illustration of Apsu is depicted. So we only have to remove the crow’s feet and modify the deeper wrinkle lines. I promise you this is not going to be an issue regarding any of the other kings. I know I went through all that stuff stressing about the crows feet and having him appear about 40 and everything, sorry for this inconvenience. Please let me know if this falls into the category of an extensive revision.

While we are revisiting him though I would like to point out something that I noticed about the Magatama bead that he is wearing. Does the gravity of the bead pulling down on the necklace look off to you? I don’t know, would it appear more natural if it was hanging down on the middle of his chest? Let me know.

Neither if these changes are very extensive. I can take care of both of them and re-post on monday.

A note about the necklace: I think his garments may be causing a bit of an illusion here. The pendant is currently in the middle of his chest. But in this 3/4 view and loose fabric design it’s tricky to see the definitive edges of his pecs. I can move the pendant more to the right if that eases your worry. My only concern is I don’t want to to start encroaching on the blue strip. I’ll push it a little further and see what you think!

Alrighty! So the right image is the updated shot with the crows feet, cheek lines, and brows wrinkles all downplayed.

I also moved the pendant over to the right (Apsu’s left) a bit, but you can see in the original how the pendant falls right on the centerline. I just think the loose fabric covers up his chest definition and so the viewer can’t fully see the centerline. Bit of an optical illusion there.

Anyway, let me know if these changes work for ya!

Thank you so much for updating this for us, Dylan. The face looks great in the update, much appreciated.

I can see now that the original placement of the Magatama bead is correct, let’s keep it the way you had it. Sorry for the confusion.

Looks great Dylan thanks so much!
